Greetings friends,
Souper Bowl of Caring has encouraged its participants to hold a service blitz the day before Souper (and Super) Bowl Sunday. So this Saturday Peace’s youth will be volunteering at Mission Beth-el in Wimauma from 10-1pm. We would like to invite the congregation to join us. This is a great opportunity for folks to see what happens at Mission Beth-el but can’t make Thursday mornings.
The group will be doing some outside work like trimming bushes, organizing the tool shed, etc… There will also be some inside work like bagging rice, beans, and flour. Additionally we may be doing some clothes sorting as well. Depending on the weather, the group can wear jeans, t-shirts, sun protection, shorts are o.k., but closed-toe shoes are a must.
Please meet us at Publix (behind the Hess on SR 70) at 9 am, so that we can have a 9:15 departure. Everyone will need to bring a bag lunch and drink for lunch at the site.
Javier, our coordinator at Beth-el, needs a head count so he can accommodate our group size. Please let me know how many from your family will be participating by noon this Friday.
Thanks so much. And as always feel free to call or respond directly by email if you have any questions.
Peace,
tricia
